Premiere: RUNNER

I’m excited to share that my new work RUNNER will premiere at SPRING Festival in Utrecht in May 2025, with touring in the Netherlands and Belgium later in the year.

A woman is running outside of the theatre. You are invited to accompany her, this unfamiliar body making its way through the city. Setting a pace, covering distance, breaking a sweat. Working hard, and being good.

RUNNER is a performance about running and exhaustion. It explores the interwoven and contradictory joys, miseries and potentials of both physical exhaustion and exhaustion as a sociopolitical state. What kind of proximity, intimacy, and pleasure can be produced by hearing a body exert itself? And why do we value people when they are pushing themselves to their limits?
